Elan

Stage director Radhia Chapot-Habbes and filmmaker Pascal Greco created the ELAN collective whose objective is to allow vulnerable, precarious or isolated people to make human and artistic experiences in order to regain esteem and self-confidence in order to allow better integration.
They work with diverse communities, including young migrants, refugees, people with intellectual disabilities, individuals struggling with addiction, and older adults. Their accomplishments include three theatrical productions at the Comédie de Genève, bringing these different communities together on stage and creating powerful, moving performances that showcase the authentic voice of each participant.

From April to June 2022, we work with 3 different populations, 2 classes of young migrants (Classe Access), patients from the Clinique Belmont and elderly people in a retirement home, and we presented in June a scenic object / performance we called Gulliver, the other journeys.

In December we presented the documentary film called Les Autres Voyages that I directed. This documentary illustrates the creation of Gulliver, les autres voyages, a project presented in June 2022 at the Comédie de Genève and resulting from a collaboration between the ELAN collective and three populations from different backgrounds: young migrants from Access classes, patients from the Clinique Belmont and a group of seniors from the EMS du Nouveau Prieuré. This scenic object had moved the public and left an indelible mark on the minds of the artistic team and the participants.

The documentary allows us to retrace this work process, and to see the magnificent path traveled during these two months of rehearsals.

The documentary is not yet available, it will be released soon.
